We wonder why there's no Rain

Why No Rain?
The youth find Hayaa to hard, Hijab and modest clothing a thing of the past.
Immodesty now rules the masses, segregation of sexes no longer holds a place in society.
And then we wonder why there is no Rain…

We need to celebrate everything , let's have a party. Birthday, Anniversary, Bridal and Baby Showers.
Who cares if it costs more than a grand, who cares if it's waste. Who cares if it's haram.  We’ll justify it all we can.
And then we wonder why there's no Rain.

We've discarded the Sunnah, left our Qur’an on the shelf, forgotten our Salaah, Don't pay Zakaah. We fast only if compulsory but lack true sincerity.
And then we wonder why there's no Rain.

We disrespect or elders and parents, we’re uncompassionate toward our young.
And then we wonder why there’s no Rain.

Girls have to go out to study, no matter the harms they'll encounter by stepping out of their homes.
No matter the sins committed, education is to important.
And then, we wonder why there’s no Rain.

Boyfriend, girlfriend holding hands, they don't realise that shaytaans close behind.
Rejoicing at their disobedience to their creator.
And then we wonder why there’s no Rain.

Our lives are based on western culture and trends, Sunnah is to outdated ( Na Uthu Billah).
We have to dress like them to, no matter the cost. Wasting thousands on items we then hardly wear.
But we still wonder why there's no Rain?

We’re always looking for new gossip, always backbiting. Always seeking to expose others faults not even verifying.
And then we wonder why there’s no Rain.

We've become ungrateful. Taking everything for granted.
Showered with bounties, but how often do we say Alhamdulillah.
And then, we wonder why there’s no Rain.

Music and Dancing have become prevalent. Such blatant disobedience.
And then we wonder why there’s no Rain.

Picture taking is a norm. Even though it was forbidden by our Beloved Prophet.
Immodest selfies posted all over social media.
And then we wonder why there’s no Rain.

Weddings have become ridiculously extravagant. The amount of Haraam and wastage is disgusting.
And then we wonder why there’s no Rain.

No one wants to remove the televisions from their homes.
Sports had taken over our brain and heart..

Have we become so blind?
Do we not see these glaring mistakes of ours?
How much longer will we continue living like this???

I've only mentioned a few, but there are countless other things taking place.
We have brought these conditions of drought and heat onto ourselves.
We need to stop, and introspect.
We need to change our lives and we need to turn to Allah.
We need to make Abundant SINCERE Istighfaar.
We have to make sure we don't return to the same sins again.

- Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves (13-21) -

The Bigger Picture

Maybe it's not about the melody, maybe it's about the words.

Maybe it's not about what you said but rather the effect it had.

Maybe it's not about what you did yesterday but rather what you will do today and tomorrow.

Maybe it's not about the gift you gave but rather the thought and intention behind it.

Maybe it's not about the journey but rather the  destination.

Maybe it's not about the story, maybe it's about the moral behind it.

Maybe it's not about the amount of times you apologize but rather the amount of times you are sincere.

Maybe it's not about the mistake but the lesson learned from it.

Maybe how many times you fall doesn’t matter, maybe the amount of times you pick yourself up and carry on matters.

Maybe it's not about the amount of times you failed, but the amount of times you carried on trying.

Maybe it's not about the action but rather the intention.
Maybe, just maybe there's a bigger picture.

Maybe we need to read between the lines.

Maybe we need to stop assuming.

Maybe we need to be more grateful.

Maybe everything is not as it seems.

Maybe, it's the small things that count….
