Wishing to be among Queens ❤️

I wish i could meet up with some of the Sahabiya رضى الله عنهما.
So that I could ask them about the things they experienced and endured.
So that I could ask them about how they felt. So that I could ask them to guide me on how to get through life, how to live for the pleasure of Allah..

I wish I could meet Khadija bint Khuwaylid رضي الله عنها, the beloved wife of Nabi ﷺ.
So i could ask her how it felt to be the wife of Rasoolullah ﷺ.
I would ask her how she felt being the mother of such great women, Zainab, Ruqayya, Umme Kulthoom and Faatimah رضي الله عنهما.
I would ask her what emotions she experienced when Rasoolullah ﷺ came running to her saying Zamilooni, Zamilooni.
Dathirooni, Dathirooni.
I would be enthralled by her stories of sacrifice, love and patience..

I wish I could meet Zainab bint Muhammad رضي الله عنها, the beloved daughter of Nabi ﷺ.
I would ask her about the love she and Abul Aas رضي الله عنه shared.
About the difficulties they went through.
I would ask her about the time she was separated from her husband.
The time she had to part with the necklace her mother had given her.
The time she had to travel alone to Madinah. I would have so many questions.

Oh, I wish i could meet Ruqayya bint Muhammad رضي الله عنها.
I wish i could ask her about her Hijrah to Abyssinia with her husband Uthmaan رضي الله عنه. How did she manage, leaving her home and family behind.
The hardship that she had to endure during her stay there.
I wish I could ask how she got through the pain on hearing that her mother was no longer alive on her arrival back to Makkah.

I wish I could meet Aaisha bint Abu Bakr.
Another beloved wife of Nabi ﷺ.
I would ask her how it was to share such a special bond with Nabi ﷺ.
I would ask about the happiness she felt when Nabi ﷺ would be around. I would ask about her father Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه the closest friend of Rasoolullah ﷺ.
And I would ask her about the sadness the day Nabi ﷺ departed from the dunya.

I wish i could meet
Faatimah bint Muhammad رضي الله عنه.
So i could ask her about her life,
How it felt being the most beloved daughter to her father.
How it felt being the wife of such a great man, Ali رضى الله عنه.
How did she manage to do so much of tiresome chores by herself without any complaint.

Oh how I wish!
How I wish I could meet some of the Sahabiya رضي الله عنهما .
I could mention endless names.

I would ask them how it felt sending their husbands and sons off for Jihaad knowing they may never see them again.
I would ask how they lived so simply, yet they were content.
I would ask them countless questions.
And I would be captivated by their answers,
By their stories of war, sacrifice, love, patience, honesty, honor, death and difficulties.
I would no doubt be left spell bound by their answers.

I would ask them to guide and teach me how to be patient and Allah fearing.
How to be a good wife, mother and daughter.
Oh how I wish I could meet them.
What perfect role models they are for the Muslimahs of the Ummah if only we took heed.

Unfortunately we won't get to meet them now, or anytime here in Dunya.
But we can read and learn about their lives.
And we can take lessons from their lives and try to amulate them so that we too can attain closeness to Allah.
So that we can attain Jannah and be united with them there, Insha'Allah...

You cannot dress however you want (short tight clothing, no hijab, perfume etc).
You cannot act however you want (immoral, immodest, interact with non Mehrams).
You cannot follow whoever you want (actresses, singers, make up artist etc).
And then hope to be with the Sahabiya رضي الله عنهما in Jannah.  It doesn't work like that.
If you want Jannah, and you want to get the good fortune of meeting the Sahabah and Sahabiya رضي الله عنهما Then you need to follow their lifestyle and the Sunnah of Rasoolullah ﷺ

You can't live and love the Kuffar lifestyle and then expect to receive Jannah and all its joys.
No.
You need to act Muslim and look Muslim.
You need to live like a Muslim.
Follow the righteous, don't go against the laws of Allah and make dua.

Then, Insha'Allah, through Allahs infinite mercy He will afford us the good fortune of being with them in Jannah.

Always remember,
"You will be with who you love (on the day of Qiyaamah)"

And if you love someone, you'll follow their way and you will do everything possible to get a chance to be with them.
You won't just say you wish you could meet them and then do everything in your power to stay away from them.

May Allah grant me and everyone Ikhlaas and the ability to practice and may He through His mercy join us with the Sahabah رضي الله عنهما in Jannah..

Don't Be Bitter. Be Better

People will hurt you, in a variety of different ways..
Sometimes knowingly and other times unknowingly..
But, no matter what other people may do too you, or how they behave towards you, you should never be nasty to them or do the same bad things to them..
Why you may ask?
Because we should be the better person, the better Muslim.
Follow the example of our Nabi ﷺ, he preferred to forgive people rather then to take revenge. He forgave people no matter how nasty they had been to him.

Rasoolullah ﷺ said,
"You do not do evil to those who do evil to you, but you deal with them with forgiveness and kindness." (Bukhari)

We should strive to do the same. Forgive, no Matter how hard it is (and yes i know it can be really hard), be nice to the person no matter how horrible they are to you..
Never wish bad or make bad duas for anyone.
Because we will be answerable for everything we say and do.
If they hurt us, they will be answerable and not us..
But if we then go and cause the same hurt or worse to them then we're answerable too.
And that makes us the same as them, or worse perhaps.
Its better not to retaliate, in any way whatsoever, leave it in the hands of Allah.

It is narrated that once A person started verbally abusing Hadhrat Abu Bakr (Radi-Allahu-Anhu) while Rasoolullah ﷺ was also sitting there.  Because Hadhrat Abu Bakr (Radi-Allahu-Anhu) gave no reply Rasoolullah ﷺ was impressed and kept smiling. However, when the persons abuse became too much, Hadhrat Abu Bakr (Radi-Allahu-Anhu) replied some of what he was saying. This angered Rasoolullah ﷺ and he left. Hadhrat Abu Bakr (Radi-Allahu-Anhu)  then met Rasoolullah ﷺ and asked, "O Rasoolullah ﷺ! You were sitting there while he was swearing at me but when i replied to some of his abuse, you became angry and left?"  Rasoolullah ﷺ replied, "There was an angel with you who was responding on your behalf. However, when you started replying to some of his abuse, shaytaan arrived and I could not sit with shaytaan."

We learn from this that no matter what people say or how much they may abuse or insult you (whether it is in your presence or your absence) remain silent and don't ever try to go after them or retaliate...
Allah will retaliate on your behalf Insha'Allah.
We also learn that no matter who you are, you'll always get people who will not like you. Subhan'Allah, how great was Abu Bakr (Radi-Allahu-Anhu), yet this person was swearing and shouting at him.
If a person as wonderful and good as him had people who disliked him, then obviously we to will encounter such people.

But no matter what, don't allow people to make you bitter and nasty.
Guard your tongue, though it is small the damage it causes is huge, and sometimes irreparable.

"The tongue is like a lion, if you let it lose it will wound someone -  Ali Ibn Abi Taalib (Radi-Allahu-Anhu)"

Don't mention the faults of others.
Dont lie, Don't backbite,  Don't slander etc.
Think before you speak.
We all have and continue to just talk without thinking, we are so careless. (may Allah forgive me first and everyone else).

"Hadhrat Abu Moosa Al Ash'ari Radi-Allahu-Anhu reports that some people asked Rasoolullah ﷺ, "Whose Islam is the best (who is the best Muslim)?" Rasoolullah ﷺ replied, "The one from whose tongue and hands the Muslims are safe." (Bukhari)

"Whosoever protects ones tongue from mentioning the fault of another, Allah will conceal his faults." (Mishkaat)

The world needs more kind people, more people who wish good for others, more people who are willing to forgive.
Soften your heart, be good no matter what others do, don't let them change you.
Our Beloved ﷺ has set a perfect way of life for us to follow.
Yes we are weak, And we often cannot or do not follow it. But Insha'Allah we can aim to amullate him in as many ways possible.

Always strive to be a better person and a better Muslim.
Dont let others influence you with bad habits and traits. Keep good company.
And when you do come across people who are nasty, give them a huge smile and be extra nice, extra kind and extra caring towards them, Insha'Allah you will be rewarded for your goodness and Insha'Allah they will get influenced and change their ways..

Rasoolullah ﷺ said
"None of you truly believe until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself." (Bukhari)

Rasoolullah ﷺ Said,
"I guarantee a house in Jannah for one who gives up arguing, even if he is right; and i Guarantee a house in Jannah for one who gives up lying even for the sake of fun; and I guarantee a house in the highest part of Jannah for one who has good manners. (Abu Dawood)

وَجَعَلْنَا بَعْضَكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ فِتْنَةً أَتَصْبِرُونَ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيرًا
"And We have made some of you a trial for others; will you bear patiently? And your Lord is ever Seeing."(Surah Furqan:Verse 20)

May Allah grant me first the ability to practice and everyone else.. Aameen

Don't Aim For Perfection

No one is a perfect Muslim.
No one can ever claim to be a perfect Muslim, because we're human, and we will never achieve perfection.
But that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to be good Muslims, it doesn't mean we should stop trying to better ourselves.
Each one of us are sinners, we are weak and often we succumb to our desires.
We succumb to the temptations that are all around us.
But each one of us has the ability to repent.
Allah is the most Merciful, and He is the most patient, and He loves those who repent and turn to Him.
So no matter how many times we fall into the trap of sin, we should stand up and repent.
Obviously we shouldn't just sin and then say I'll repent afterwards.
But if we do fall into some sin, which in this day and age seems inevitable, then we shouldn't just continue doing it and think theres no use repenting I'm doomed now.
Once we realise what we doing is wrong we should try and stop it and rectify ourselves.
And remember change doesn't happen overnight. Maybe we'll find ourselves trapped in the sin over again, but each time we need to rebuke ourselves, and we need to repent and then try harder to stop.
No matter how many times you sin NEVER lose hope in Allahs mercy, continue repenting.

Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم said
"All of the children of Adam are sinners and the best of sinners are those who repent." (Tirmidhi)

So keep going.
Keep trying to become a better Muslim.
Yes we will fall and falter along the way.
Yes we'll experience spiritual highs, and also spiritual lows.
Due to our weak nature we may not reach where we want to be,but don't be to hard on yourself, keep going and do what you can.
The important thing is that we never give up trying to be the best Muslims.
Maybe as a result of us trying again and again even though we may fail, and because of our effort to be good Allah will have mercy on us and grant us Jannah...

"In the sight of Allah the best action most loved by Him is the one done consistently even if it is little."
(Bukhari & Muslim)

Narrated Abu Huraira Radi-Allahu-Anhu
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by worshipping in the mornings, and the nights."
(Bukhari)

O my servants! who have acted extravagantly against their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allah; surely Allah forgives the faults altogether; surely He is the Forgiving the Merciful.
(Surah Az-Zumar, Verse 53)

Have Faith In Allah

Have faith in Allah even when the darkness thats overcome you makes you stumble.

Have faith in Allah even when you feel your situation is hopeless..

Have faith in Allah even though things are not going your way.

Have faith in Allah even when your heart feels exhausted and all you want to do is cry.

Have faith in Allah even if you feel like you can't stand anymore.

Have faith in Allah even though you don't want to carry on trying anymore.

Have faith in Allah even when everything else is failing.

Have faith in Allah!
He will never let you down.
He will guide you through everything.
He will assist you in the toughest situations.

When you feel like its the end and your world is crumbling.
When u feel like this is it. I can't go on anymore.
Just have faith in Allah.
Have faith in Allah...

وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ وَكِيلًا
And rely on Allah; and Allah is sufficient for a Protector
(Surah Ahzaab : Verse 3)

فَاللَّهُ خَيْرٌ حَافِظًا وَهُوَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Allah is the best Keeper, and He is the most Merciful of the merciful ones
(Surah Yusuf : Verse 64)

رَبِّي عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ أُنِيبُ
My Lord, on Him do I rely and to Him do I turn time after time
(Surah Ash-Shuara : Verse 10)

Its All About The Heart - Written by Firdose Saloojee

Teach your children Ikraam! Teach them character.. wallah, i have seen students with the best of grades, who excel in every exam, yet they have the "Im better than you - Stuck-up" attitude and put their friends down. And i have seen students who struggle in exams, yet excel in the beauty of their heart and that makes it so hard to mark them down, for their ikraam shines through☆ Its not just about giving our children wealth, and trust me too much spoiling also leads to kids having their noses in the air ,and making their friends suffer from an inferior complex which is totally against the Sunnah of our Beloved Nabee صلى الله عليه وسلم

Let us instill in our girls and boys the Character of Nabee Salallawhu alayhi wasallam, how his every step was one towards making another happy.. how his golden heart made sure that if he couldnt bring a smile to someones face,he would atleast wipe away their tears and pain.
As parents we should focus on our Childs heart,on how their day was,on who they shared their lunch with, on how they helped their friend with something that she struggled with,on how they listened to their teacher and made khidmat of their Apa/Molana,  rather than "oh you only got a 70. And oh i cant sit with your assignment tonite cos we have to go for extra lessons and ballet and this and that.".

Children are great imitators,so give them something great to imitate, If we as parents can live the life of Sunnah, and Obeying Allah, and taking time out,and having the humour and compassion of Nabee Salallawhu Alayhi wasallam,Definately it will pass on to our kids..

We should give our children a specific time in a day, where that hour or two is just for them.. no homework.. no books.. nothing.. just unwinding.. relaxing.. and refreshing their mind.. let us teach them the sunnah of kaylullah also, and how just 10 minutes after school also to close eyes for abit and just breathe..
Once in a while, forget about the academics, lay on the grass with your kid and make memories that this child will never forget. Trust me- it does a world of difference. When we teach them about fun,and character and obeying Allah,Naturally their academics will improve. Its not always about the report card percentages, its about the comments at the end of the card that matter! Hug and kiss our children, let them know how loved they are simply because they are the greatest blessing from Allah!. Raising kids is a lot of heartwork, but if done correctly, will be a means of us flying into the gates of Jannah Inshaa Allah..
Give your child deen, and Allah will bring dunyaa to them.it is the promise of Allah!

Moments

Life is made up of moments.
Moments that turn into memories and moments that fade away.

We have moments of happiness, moments of sadness, moments of disappoint, moments of love, moments of regret, moments of fun, moments of hope, Moments of pain, moments of weakness, moments of strength, moments of obedience, moments of disobedience.

Every moment shaping us into who we are.
Some moments remain etched in our minds forever, we carry the memory with us always. And some moment’s are forgotten, getting carried away with the wind of time.

We often wish we could replay some moments, over and over.
And we wish we could erase others from our minds forever.

The thing about moments is that you never known when a special one is going to happen, they just pop out of no where.
The same with the bad moments. You just have to take them as they come.

And no matter how much you plan there will always be an unexpected moment, something you never planned for.
Life is made up of moments
Without all these moments our life would have no meaning.

Be grateful for every moment in your life.
In moments of weakness we think we’ll never experience strength.

In moments of difficulty we think we’ll never experience ease.

In moments of happiness we forget about sadness.

In moments of love we forget about loneliness.

And then the moment passes and we find ourselves experiencing that which we thought we wouldn’t.

So in every moment of life ,whether good or bad remember it will pass, because moments don’t last.

What's happened to us...

Its funny how things change so drastically.
Strangers become best friends, and best friends become strangers.
Families aren't as close and united as they used to be.
Its so weird, day by day nothing changes, same old routine.
But yet now when you look back everything is just different.
Its like all the memories you have are from another life.
Or maybe somehow you got someone else’s memories.

Its sad that we allow things to change so much, we get so caught up in our own lives that we have no time anymore for anything else, well that’s our excuse at least.
The truth is we have the time, we just need to prioritise.
If something or someone is important to you then you'll make time for it / them.

Technology has progressed so much, you can do almost anything with the click of a button, its so easy to send messages nowadays. You don’t need to write a letter and post it (or send it by pigeons, or whatever they used to do in the olden days).
You can communicate with people all over the world in seconds.
Yet we don’t have the 'time' to send our family and friends a simple message, just to say “how are you. I thought of you today.” Or even just “how are you" once every few days.

You would think people would keep more in touch now.
But it’s the other way round, we have never been more out of touch!
Technology is progressing, everyday you hear of new inventions.
Medicine is progressing.
Everything is becoming “easier.”
But somehow us humans have regressed.

We've become selfish, unfeeling, proud, arrogant, spiteful, jealous, we care for no one but our self. We all sitting on our high horses thinking we better then everyone. Looking down on people for silly reasons.
You'd think us, as Muslims and Ummatis of the best of all mankind would know better then to act and become like this.

But we've become so influenced by the west that we have lost our Muslim identity and we have forsaken our Islamic values.

In the time of the Sahabah they had none of the things we have today, the led “difficult” and simple lives. They didn't have cars. They didn't have fancy gadgets. They didn’t have taps of running water etc.
Some of them didn’t even have proper clothing.
Yet, when I read about them I feel they lived easier, happier, more content lives.

They looked out for one another, they were always willing to help there fellow brothers and sisters.
They were like this for one simple reason.
They understood their Deen, and they held on to their Islamic lifestyle, they held on to the Sunnah and they found that Allah was sufficent for them.

They would rather die then disobey Allah and his Rasool.
And they willingly gave their lives for Islam.
If only we could do the same. If only we could practice on the teachings of our Beloved Sallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam.

Our behaviour has torn apart our families, Repelled our friends and distanced us from the Mercy of Allah. And still, we carry on in the same way.
We still have this intense love for dunya, for fame, for money.
We think we don’t need anyone, we'll be fine. This is a lie, we are human, and at some point in our lives we will need the support of our Family and true friends only to find that they're not there. Why? Because in our arrogance we pushed them away, we insulted and hurt them.

Money and fame will not last forever.

Make amends with those family and friends that you have hurt or broken ties with before its to late.
If our own families are so disunited how do we expect the Ummah to be united?

Lets do our best to fix what’s in our hands and right in front of us before we try and solve the problems of the world.
Lets all put aside our arrogance and pride lets put aside our social standings and for once lets join family ties genuinely and for the pleasure of Allah. ..

“Let them forgive and overlook, do you not wish that Allah should forgive you? For Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Surah Nur : Verse 22)

“Set a place for me in your heart and not in your mind.
For the mind easily forgets but the heart always remembers" (author unknown)

Why so Defensive?

Why is it that nowadays we are all so unwilling to accept advice? Especially regarding to issues pertaining to Islamic / Deeni issues. We take on a defensive stance immediately.
And why do we assume that the person who is advising us claims to or thinks they are pious or that they are looking down on us. If someone corrects something we are doing, or they mention in some way that something we are doing is incorrect instead of taking  the advise we think or say things like “ everyone’s not as pious as you" or we might mention to someone else that “she/he thinks they very pious”etc.
Where as the person had no intention of sounding holy, nor do they think themselves better then you. Ever thought that maybe they were simply practicing on enjoining good and forbidding evil.
We live in a world where doing good has become hard, its so easy to get caught up in evil. But now we've made it hard for people to even “enjoin what is good". We make them feel guilty and as if they are the ones doing something wrong. They are very few who are willing to speak up against wrong.
Because they are scared of what the reactions will be. We also prefer holding conversations on mundane things like sports, fashion, food etc but when it comes to things like Sahabah stories or Hadeeth then you find very few willing to engage with you willingly.
Another thing we do is we always using comparisons like “don’t judge, maybe a girl who doesn’t wear hijab is better then the girl who does or maybe the boy without a beard has better manners" etc.
Yes I agree, that could be the case they could definitely be better and we SHOULDN'T judge.
But, why does it seem like nowadays so often we look down on girls in Hijab/Niqab or Guys with beard, Kurta etc.
Where as what if THEY ARE better?
Our logic is warped, we say we shouldn’t judge and then we go ahead and judge a person if they speak out against wrong by assuming they think themselves superior or pious.
It is the duty of every Muslim to “Enjoin what is good and Forbid what is evil." This is our Deen we need to carry it, We have to take it to the people. It is not only the duty or responsibility of the Ulama, every single one of us should learn about our Deen (from authentic reliable sources and scholars) and impart what we learn to others.

Rasoolullah صلى الله على وسلم said(something to the effect): “The acquisition of (Deeni) knowledge is compulsory on every Muslim.” (Ibn Majah)

In another hadith

Rasoolullah صلى الله على وسلم said(something to the effect): “The noblest charity is that a Muslim acquires some knowledge (of Deen), then imparts it to a Muslim brother.(Ibn Majah)"

When someone corrects someone's wrong doing in a good and kind way then do not make them feel bad, because it will discourage them from doing it again and it makes them feel like they are doing something wrong.

Obviously we shouldn't just go and point out everyone’s faults and put them down and be harsh nor should we purposely seek out faults.
We should be kind in our approach. And if you advised or corrected them once or twice but they do not listen or they take offence then do not keep on telling them.
You did your duty by telling them, now you just make dua for them.
Every one of us had faults and we are all sinners no doubt but we can still encourage each other to improve.
والله أعلم..
May Allah guide me first and the whole Ummah…

Hadhrat Abu Saeed Khudri رضي الله عنه  Narrates from Rasoolullah صلى الله على وسلم that he said (something to the effect), “if any of you see any deed contrary to the Shariat being done, then he should change it with his hand (i.e he should stop the person doing that action with strength) and if he does not have the ability to change it with his hand, then he should strive to change it with his tongue (i.e he should advise and warn them of the punishment of Allah) and if he does not have the ability to change it with his tongue, then he should change it with his heart (i.e he should think it bad and make the resolution to change it) and this (final stage) is the weakest of Imaan… (narrated in Muslim)

If the Sahabah رضي الله عنه saw us today what would they say...

If the Sahabah رضي الله عنه had to see us today.
What do you think they would say?
What would they say about our ways.
I think they’ll be disgusted at how far we’ve strayed.
I think they would cry tears of blood at our blatant disobedience to our Creator and our Nabi صلى الله على وسلم

What would Fatimah رضي الله عنها leader of the women of Jannah and one of the most Modest women say if she saw the dressing of Muslim women today?
What would she say about the way we obsess over fashion.
What would she say about all the make up, tight fitting clothing, perfume and hair colours and styles.
What would she say about our perception of modesty?
What would she say about the immodest selfies being uploaded onto social media?
Ask yourself , honestly do you think she’d be happy?
Do you think she would ask us to join her in Jannah?
On the contrary I think she would want us as far away from her as possible.

What would Abu Bakr and Umar رضي الله عنه say if they saw the Muslim men of today ?
With their clean shaven faces, ridiculous hair styles, and pants falling below their ankles.
What would they say about their obsession with sports.
Do you think they would stand for such things?
They would wage war on us, for trampling on the Sunnah of their Beloved Nabi.
What would Uthmaan رضي الله عنه say about their immoral behaviour? About their immodesty?
Do you think any of these amazing personalities would be pleased??

Every one of the Sahabah would be disgusted at us.
With the way we’ve become. The way we dress, the way we think, the things we do.
Imagine if they had to see how freely men and women mingle and interact with each other. On social media, at functions, universities etc.
Imagine if they had to see our obsession with immoral movies and soap operas.
Imagine the anger and disappointment they would feel?
What would they say if they saw all the selfies and photography being taken and posted all over social media.
What would they say about all the Zina and haraam relationships.

My heart breaks to think of how Disappointed and ashamed these great personalities would be of us if they were to look upon us today.
To see how much we have strayed.
How much we justify our wrongs, how we disregard Quraan and Sunnah.
How we disobey Allah Ta’aala so easily.

They, the Sahabah رضي الله عنه feared Allah Ta'aala so much they repented so much and they strived to do good even though they were promised Jannah, it did not make them complacent.
We on the other hand have not been promised Jannah, we haven’t been guaranteed protection from Jahannam and the torment of the grave YET, we STILL continue as if we’re immortal or as if we are safe from Allah Ta'aalas punishment.
The Sahabah رضي الله عنه left the perfect path for us to follow.
Nabi صلى الله على وسلم said that they are like guiding stars, whichever of them you follow you will be guided.
Yet we still insist on following the western world!
Why are we so dazzled by the dunya..??!! it is temporary!
One day we will be questioned about everything we did.
Our sins will be brought and made to testify against us! Yet we still carry on sinning and sinning and sinning.

Why cant we strive to live like the Sahabah instead of like celebrities?
Yes we will never reach that calibre, and we’ll never be able to imitate them fully but we can try to the best of our ability.
We can follow Sunnah as much as possible.
We can abstain from Haraam as much as possible.
We can stop all this nonsense, We can stop imitating the kuffaar! WE HAVE TO STOP…

Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthmaan, Ali, Khalid bin Waleed, Talha bin Ubaydullah , Abu Ubaydah bin Al Jarrah رضي الله عنه
Khadijah, Fatimah, Aaisha and Asma bint Abu Bakr, Umme Sulaym رضي الله عنها
Etc etc I could go on mentioning names forever.
We all hear and read about these personalities.
Don’t you yearn to be with them on the day of Qiyamah? To be united with them in Jannah??
This wont happen unless we love them and follow their example. You will be with who you love on the day of Qiyamah.
And if we carry on like how we are, then we are going to be raised on the day of Qiyamah with the Kuffar and accursed sport stars ,celebrities etc.
Is that really what we want????????

We can't be sinless. But we can sin less

Nowdays we are ruled by our nafs|desires, very few of us are willing to fight it. We give in to our every whim and we allow Shaytaan to deceive us into believing we still have long to live. We can always repent later.
As a result we've lost our identity as Muslims.
And now you find that everything we do is imitating the Kuffaar
Our dressing, our lifestyle , our whole outlook has changed, We've become obsessed with following trends, be it in fashion , décor , hairstyles, functions etc.
We're human so its normal to get drawn in and captivated by these things but its not ok to get so caught up and obsessed that you forget that you're Muslim and you change your life to fit in with the trends and you start wearing immodest clothing simply to follow fashion.
Its not Haraam to have things of Dunya. Its not Haraam to have wealth.
But we've totally lost the plot, we've made it the be all and end all. We've reached a stage where we are now no longer content with anything.
we've allowed the dunya to enter our hearts.
We've attached success to dunya, we think only the rich are successful, the famous are successful etc.
But true success lies in finding Allah, in following the Sunnah of Rasoolullah صلى الله على وسلم.
We need to detach ourselves from dunya and its attractions.
Yes we are all weak. but we can all try in small ways to change.
Change does not happen overnight.
But we have to start somewhere.
Maybe by taking out Sadaqah everyday even if it is one or two rands.
Or by reading two extra rakaah of Salaah.
Or by helping someone out.
Or by lowering your gaze.
Or by forgiving someone who hurt you, for the pleasure of Allah.
All theses things are easy to do, and it’s a start.
We can then gradually increase our good actions and decrease our sins with the help of Allah
If we are unable to increase in good actions then we should at least try to stay away from sin.
We are surrounded by temptations, everywhere you turn there is forbidden thing staring you in the face.
So staying away wont be easy, it will be a tough battle fighting off your nafs and shaytaan but Insha'Allah through that you will attain the pleasure and love of Allah and ultimately Jannah.
And that makes everything worth it…

“It is explained in a hadith when Allah created Jannah, then He sent Jibreel A.S to look at it. He came back and said “Oh Allah, by your honour, whoever hears of it will not live without (trying to gain) entry into it i.e. after listening and having conviction in the pleasures, ease and joys of Jannah, who will not try his utmost best to enter it. After that, Allah surrounded it with 'difficulties,' such as performing Salaah, keeping fasts, going out for jihad, and performing Hajj etc. If you do theses then you will gain entry into Jannah. Hadhrat Jibreel A.S was told, 'Now go and see.'
He said, “Now, Oh Allah, I fear that no one will be able to enter it.” Similarly, when Allah created Jahannam, then he sent Hadhrat Jibreel A.S to look at it. Upon seeing the punishment, calamities, filth and difficulties, he said “ Oh Allah, by your honour, whoever hears of its punishment will never go there.”
Allah covered it with the veil of desires, adultery, drinking, oppression, going against divine injunctions etc. Hadhrat Jibreel A.S was told to have a look at it again, he said, “ oh Allah, I now fear that none will be saved from it.”

May Allah protect us all from Jahannam and grant us the ability to do those actions which are pleasing to Him, forgive our shortcomings and  grant us entry into Jannah through His Mercy. Aameen

Abode of my Heart

There's an ache in my heart and it won't go away.
And I find myself drowning in misery, choking back cries.
Allowing my mind to pave a stairway, I float away on a blissful cloud of thought.

I wish to be in the blessed city of Madinah, surrounded by its light.
I wish to gaze upon the Green Dome, oh what a beautiful sight.

I wish to walk in its blessed streets enjoying the serenity.
Letting my every fear and worry float away.

I wish to walk upon Mount Uhud, imagining the battle that took place on its sand.
Almost hearing the neighing of the armies horses and clashing of their swords.

I wish to eat dates from the palm trees of Madinah, a fruit more delicious I have never tasted.

My heart is restless.
My eyes blinded by tears.
How I despise these miles that separate me from my Beloved ﷺ and his beautiful city.

I close my eyes, and disappear into my thoughts once more.

Oh how wonderful would it be, if I lived in Madinah.
Imagine being the neighbour of Muhammad Mustafa ﷺ.

Being able to visit Him ﷺ. and His companions رضي الله عنه everyday.
That would be a dream come true.

If I lived in Madinah I would have
no reason to be sad.
And if ever I was, I'd go sit in Masjidun Nabawi and my sadness will melt away like ice on a hot day.
I would leave smiling and at peace, because how can a person be sad after sitting in the company of the Beloved Of Allah ﷺ.

Imagine how wonderful it would be if I die in Madinah with
لا اله الله محمد رسول الله
on my lips.

To be buried in Baqeeh amongst the Sahabah رضي الله عنه,  the best people to walk the earth after the Ambiya.

And to be raised on Judgment day with
Rasoolullah ﷺ and His companions.
That is what I call success.

My eyes spring open and my heart shatters as I come back to reality.

I wish my thoughts had carried me to Madinah.
But Instead I am left yearning for it thousands of miles away.
The only bit of solace I find is in knowing He ﷺ. receives my greetings even though I am not close by.
And I will continue begging Allah to fulfil my wish and allow Me to be from amongst the residents of Madinah and to be one of the fortunate ones who die in Madinah.
Aameen.

اللهم صل على محمد كلما ذكره الذاكرون و كلما غفل عن ذكره الغافلون
